Due to the hustle and bustle of the Holidays it’s been a while since we’ve last posted. That being said, the past few months have brought some exciting additions to our club. We’ve been fortunate enough to secure several new members, including some wonderful individuals swimming with us from the University of Victoria. We’ve also welcomed a new Treasurer and Director at Large to our Board of Directors; they’re a wonderful addition to our Board and are doing fabulously!
Although our new Board Members are nothing short of dazzling, it was with great sadness to see our previous Treasurer resign. She was beloved by the club, having served in her position since the founding of VMAS. However, we’re excited for the new adventures that await her and wish her the best in all her future endeavours. From the bottom of our hearts, everyone at VMAS would like to thank her for her years of service to the club.
With an upcoming competition around the corner, our competitive team, as per usual, is working hard on their upcoming routines. This is the first competition in our club’s history where both a tech and free routine will be performed. The latter of the two routines was choregraphed by the legendary Biz Price. Needless to say, we’re hoping to go out there and make her proud.
Lastly, but certainly not least, VMAS is thrilled to announce our new beginner group starting January 15th!!! We’re excited and hopeful for adults from all over the community to take advantage of this opportunity. It’s an inclusive sport that encompasses the three critical elements; Fun, Friends, and Fitness! Please don’t hesitate to contact the club with any questions you might have. We look forward to swimming with you!
